Financial Valuation

Working with buyers and sellers of power assets, we built new or enhanced existing financial models, conducted full financial due diligence on project contracts and assets, and recommended bid prices for investors.  For example, Boston Pacific helped prepare a U.S. project development company for sale by (a) developing financial models for several merchant plants in the development phase, (b) assessing existing projects for re-negotiation and buyouts, (c) drafting the Information Memorandum, and (d) aiding the in-house transaction team by creating and operating an electronic data room. 

Market Assessments

Boston Pacific has the expertise for quantitative market assessments that help investors maximize the value of their assets.  We use it to identify an asset's opportunities for power sales given transmission constraints, to identify which resources the asset would displace so we can calculate the cost savings to the affected ratepayers, and to project market prices, including locational marginal prices.
